It is the known way of many tzaddikim to bring about yeshuos through giving tzedakah to the kupah of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes, and through saying “Eloka D’Meir aneini.”
“In the footsteps of Moshiach, a person will have no other counsel but to stand every morning and give some tzedakah for the neshamah of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes, and to ask for rachamim for himself and for his household.”
Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes remained, even after his passing, to protect the Jewish people in every generation — just as he was in his very lifetime, and one can merit yeshuah through him.
There is a received tradition in the name of the holy Ba’al Shem Tov — that every single day one should give tzedakah for the neshamah of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes, and through this one merits yeshuos, signs, and wonders.
It is known and recognized in Heaven that “Rabbi Meir” without further specification refers to Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes — he is known in all the worlds.
